This notice explains how enquiry details and email subscriptions are handled. It is written for this website and for messages you send to hello@xckjmt4.com.
Who we are
This policy describes how Aurevia, the insurance guidance desk behind xckjmt4.com, handles personal information when you use this website. Aurevia explains insurance and prepares quote reviews. We are not, by this website alone, the insurer on your policy.
When this policy says 'we', it means Aurevia. When it says 'you', it means a visitor, a person who sends an enquiry, or a person who joins the email list. The contact point for privacy questions is hello@xckjmt4.com. Please use the subject line 'Privacy' so the message reaches the right review.
What this policy covers
It covers information collected through the pages of this website, including the contact form, the quote review form, the subscribe form, the unsubscribe form, and the footer email field. It covers messages you send to hello@xckjmt4.com about those forms.
It does not describe the privacy notice of an insurer you later choose. If you apply for a policy, that insurer will ask for its own information and will explain its own uses, which can include underwriting and claims. Read that notice before you apply. If the two notices ever seem to overlap, the insurer's notice governs the application, and this notice governs your relationship with Aurevia.
Information you give us
We ask for the details needed to understand an enquiry and to reply. That typically includes your name, email address, the type of cover you are considering, whether the enquiry is for a household or a business, a subject line, and the message you write. If you choose a guidance plan on the contact form, we store that choice with the enquiry.
Please do not send us, in a first message, identity document images, full payment card numbers, passwords, or detailed medical files. If a review later needs a narrower fact, such as a renewal month or a sum insured you already hold, we will ask for that fact specifically. You can refuse. If you refuse, we may not be able to complete the comparison, and we will say so.
If you subscribe, we store the email address you submit and the fact that you asked to hear from us. If you unsubscribe, we store the email address long enough to suppress further update messages, together with any reason you choose to give. The reason is optional and is used to understand which notes are useful, not to argue with your decision.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, the server that hosts these pages may record technical logs: the address of the device that requested a page, the browser type, the time of the request, and the page requested. We use those logs to keep the site available, to understand which guides are read, and to investigate misuse.
We do not run a hidden analytics product that follows you across other companies' websites. If that changes, we will describe the tool in this policy before it is switched on, including how you can refuse it where the tool allows refusal.
How we use information
We use enquiry details to reply, to prepare a quote brief, to match you with an advisor whose specialism fits the cover type, and to keep a record of what we told you. We use subscription details to send the occasional note about guides, renewal checklists, and changes to this website. We use technical logs to secure the site.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use enquiry messages to build a score that we then sell to insurers. If you ask us to help you approach an insurer, we will only share the facts you agree should be shared, and we will tell you what they are before they go.
The legal bases we rely on, described in everyday language, are: doing what you asked (replying to a form), running this guidance service in a careful way, and, for optional email updates, the permission you gave when you subscribed. You can withdraw that permission at any time on the unsubscribe page. Withdrawal does not affect a message already sent.
Quote reviews and what we keep in the brief
A quote review may contain facts you would rather not repeat in every email: the rough value of a home's contents, the fact that a vehicle is used for work, or that a traveller has a condition which must be declared. We keep those facts inside the enquiry record so the advisor does not have to ask you to retype them, and so the written brief stays consistent.
The brief is an explanation, not a policy. It may quote or summarise wording you sent us. You should check any summary against the insurer's original document before you rely on it. If we have misunderstood a figure, tell us and we will correct the record.
We do not decide claims. We do not have authority to bind cover by sending you an email. Any sentence in a brief that sounds like a promise of payment should be treated as a mistake, and you should ask us to correct it. Only the insurer's contract can promise payment, and only on its terms.
Email updates
Subscription emails are occasional. They may include a new guide, a reminder of questions to ask at renewal, or a note that this policy or the terms have changed. They are not a stream of unrelated offers, and they are not a channel we rent to other companies.
Every update we send in this programme includes a plain way to stop. You can also open the unsubscribe page on this website, type the same email address, and submit the form. We aim to suppress the address promptly. A message already queued may still arrive, but we will not add you back because you once enquired about a quote.
An enquiry email and a subscription email are different. Asking for a quote review does not, by itself, place you on the update list. Subscribing does not, by itself, open a quote review. You can be on one, both, or neither.
Cookies and similar storage
This website is a set of static pages. The forms do not send your answers to a server of ours; they are checked in your browser and then shown back to you as a confirmation. Because of that design, we do not need an account cookie to remember a login. We do not set advertising cookies.
Your browser may still store its own history of pages you visited. Fonts used for the design may be requested from a font host, which means your browser contacts that host and the host may see a technical request. If you prefer not to make that contact, your browser will fall back to a standard typeface and the pages remain readable.
If we later add a cookie that is not essential to show you a page you asked for, we will describe it here and, where required, ask before it is set.
When we share information
We share information with service providers who host the website or who transmit email, only so they can perform that task. They are not invited to use enquiry content for their own marketing. We share information if the law requires it, for example a valid request from a competent authority, and we share it if we must do so to protect someone from serious harm.
If Aurevia's guidance desk were ever transferred to a new operator, enquiry records would transfer with it so that open reviews could be finished. We would tell subscribers about that change by email where we still hold an address, and the new operator would remain bound by this policy or by a policy that protects you at least as clearly.
We do not share your message with an insurer, a comparison site, or a lead marketplace unless you have agreed to that specific sharing. A general sentence in an old email is not that agreement. We will name the recipient first.
How long we keep information
We keep an enquiry record for as long as the review is open and for a reasonable period afterwards so we can explain what we advised if you ask, and so we can handle a complaint about our guidance. A typical period is twenty-four months after the last message in the thread, unless a longer period is needed because you have an ongoing guidance plan or because a question about our advice is still unresolved.
Subscription data is kept while you remain subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep a suppression record so we do not email you updates again. Technical logs are kept for a shorter period, long enough to spot abuse and to understand outages, and then removed or reduced.
You may ask us to delete an enquiry sooner. We will do so unless we need to keep a limited record to show how we responded to you, or because a legal duty says we must hold it. We will explain any refusal.
How we protect information
We limit access to enquiry mail to the advisors who need it for the review and to the person who maintains the mailbox. We expect those people to use unique passwords and to avoid forwarding a full brief to a personal mailbox without a reason. No method of email is perfectly private. Do not use the form for secrets you would not put in an ordinary email.
Because the forms on this website are checked only in your browser, the confirmation message you see after sending does not mean a remote database has stored a copy. If you are writing to us, the message that matters is the one you send to hello@xckjmt4.com or the conversation that follows. Treat the on-page confirmation as a receipt that your browser accepted the fields, and keep your own copy of anything important.
Your choices
You can ask what enquiry information we hold, ask for a correction, ask us to delete it, or ask us to stop using it for optional updates. Email hello@xckjmt4.com with the subject 'Privacy' and the address you used on the form. We may need to confirm you control that address before we change the record, so that we do not edit someone else's enquiry by mistake.
You can unsubscribe without making any other request. Use the unsubscribe page. You can also keep receiving updates and still ask us to correct a fact inside a quote brief. Those choices are independent.
If you believe we have handled information carelessly, write to us first so we can put it right. You may also raise the matter with the data protection authority where you live. This policy does not limit that right.
Children
This website is written for adults who are arranging insurance or asking questions on behalf of a household. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you are a parent and you believe a child has sent us a form, email hello@xckjmt4.com and we will delete the message.
A life or health review may discuss a child's needs, such as school costs or a dependant's cover. In that case we are talking with the adult who sent the enquiry, about the adult's planning, and we ask the adult not to attach a child's identity documents.
Links to other sites
Guides may refer to an insurer's public wording or to a general educational source. If you follow a link, you leave this policy behind and the other site's notice applies. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content. A link is not an endorsement of a product.
Social icons in the header and footer are sharing tools. They open a share window or an email draft that uses the address of this website. They are not profiles that collect a feed of your activity for us.
Changes to this policy
We will post changes on this page and change the date below. If a change affects how we use an email address you subscribed with, we will also send a short note to that address before the change takes effect, unless the change is only a clarification that does not alter your choices.
The version you are reading is dated 28 September 2026. Earlier notes on the website should be read together with this version if they disagree, and this version wins.
How to reach us about privacy
Email hello@xckjmt4.com with the subject 'Privacy'. Describe the page, the form, and what you want us to do. We will reply by email. Please do not include a copy of a full policy schedule unless we have asked for a particular figure, and even then prefer to type the figure rather than attach the whole document.
We do not offer a telephone line or a visitor counter for privacy requests. Writing keeps a record you and we can both read again, which matters when the question is about what was said in a review.
